I wear a size 5 women's shoe and often buy kids socks because women's socks are too big. These fit well in the foot area, but I found the elastic around the top quite tight. They come up to the bottom of my calf. Definitely wearable, though, and don't slide down. They do shrink in the wash (I attached a picture- sock on the left is new, sock on the right has been washed/dried once), although seemed to fit fine even after multiple washes. I would have given them 5 stars if they were more comfortable.
